9842MSExchangeIS MailboxContent IndexingFunction CISearch::EcGetRowsetAndAccessor detected that content indexing was disabled for database "Mailbox Database 1144709849" because of error "0x80041820" from MSSearch.
We would see this error on an Exchange 2010 server every time somebody would search for an email on a mobile device (e.g. iPhone). The search would not return any results beyond emails already stored on the device.
Running
setup /preparead
setup /prepareschema
from the Exchange Server 2010 SP3 and subsequently restarting the
- Microsoft Exchange Search Indexer
- Microsoft Exchange Information Store
services resolved the issue. See additional links for more details.
