The backup of the transaction log of DATABASE failed. To find out why the backup failed, copy and paste the SQL backup statement from the backup job details (SQL Server Enterprise Manager -> Management -> SQL Server Agent -> Jobs) into Query Analyzer and run the job there. This should tell you exactly why the job didn't run.

After you select your backup file that you are restoring from, check your options tab to make sure the LOG & DATA files have not changed to the incorrect ones
